2022 Reunion at Victoria Falls

In 2019, a former classmate, Urs Kreuter, proposed a school reunion for mid-2020 at Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Plans quickly took shape, thanks to the organising committee of Urs, Ross Kennedy, and Michael Upton. By early 2020, about 30 attendees were confirmed.

However, Covid-19 forced a postponement. Amid the disappointment, another former classmate, Trevor Short, suggested sharing our life stories via email. The responses were remarkable—filled with humour, camaraderie, and global adventures, all rooted in our shared years at Prince Edward School in the late 60s and early 70s.

In May 2022, these stories were compiled into a compendium titled Like Feathers in the Wind.

After another postponement in 2021 due to Covid-19, the long-awaited reunion finally took place at Victoria Falls in July 2022. What an unforgettable experience it was! With the Zimbabwean diaspora scattering us across the globe, many hadn’t seen one another in nearly 50 years.

While the compendium is now out of print, the video below captures the spirit of this remarkable event. I hope you enjoy watching it.
